This course is our most popular course and is suitable for complete beginners. It enables you to get to a fully qualified stylist level, all in one course. City & Guilds has long been the gold mark qualification in the industry. This is an assessment based course, so knowledge is tested through timed exams For both levels.

- This qualification route is the most iconic and recognised with the public, due to its association with varying trades.
- Course can be part time or full time.
- No previous experience required.
- Allows enrolment for the Higher Diploma In Dog Grooming.
Cons
This is a traditional exam based route, so for students not comfortable in exam situations, it may not be the preferred choice.

This course offers a direct route to being level 3 qualified, as it is all in one level and has no requirement to complete a level 2 in addition. Suitable for complete beginners. The course is Portfolio based and offers a holistic approach to being assessed. There is no timed assessments for this course and theory work is completed via assignments. This course can be completed in only 25 days if you have some prior experience. Often suited to this worries about exam situations and stress under that pressure.

Suitable for complete beginners! This portfolio based course is a newer qualification and can be completed using an e-portfolio. No requirement to complete a level 2 first. No timed exams but does have practical assessments. iPET Network offer further qualifications, across a variety of subjects, which can be linked on to your course or taken at a later date.

- Harder to liaise with coursework.

This course is the first stepping stone to becoming a fully qualified dog groomer in the City & Guilds pathway. It is an assistant level qualification designed to to cover all the basics and ensure safe working practices. Also great for those wanting a recognised qualification, when working as an assistant in salon.

- Quick course which will give you a real feel for what dog grooming involves and how to carry it out safely.
- Will help gain employment and completion allows you to gain admission on to the level 3 Diploma Qualification.
Cons
Additional qualification needed to be classed as fully qualified.

This course is the final stage of the City & Guilds qualification pathway. It offers in-depth knowledge on all Aspects of styling, to grow confidence and ability. Once completed you finish as a fully qualified stylist.

- The original Gold standard qualification for qualified dog groomers.
- Completion allows enrolment for the Higher Diploma in dog grooming.
- No home coursework.

- Students must have completed the level 2 prior to enrolment.

Qualifications offering a fast track option, require you to have 12 months dog grooming experience and evidence of skill level. If no photo evidence is a available then a one day course is required to observe work prior to enrolling.
